Hi I’m Kayleigh, 

Founder of Love & Lace

I make simple yet stylish sewing patterns for womenswear, lingerie, loungewear & swimwear. You’ll find easy-to-follow instructions included with every pattern purchase and video tutorials on my Youtube channel that will guide you step by step.

My swimwear patterns all include instructions for how to sew them reversible. You might have heard these being called seamless garments. While technically they’re not seam free, it does mean that all of the raw edges and elastics are enclosed for a clean finish.

I design every pattern myself before grading to a wide range of sizes, currently that’s up to 5XL or a UK 24 and my latest underwired bra pattern goes up to a UK 36G. I’m constantly working to expand this further so that Love & Lace can be as inclusive as possible. 

After drafting I then sew each style right here in my studio in the UK. I perfect the fit using my contour stand before testing the garments on myself and a range of other bodies to ensure they work for many different shapes & sizes and are the most comfortable and wearable versions they can be. 

So, a little about me…I have a 1st Class (hons) degree in Fashion Contour - a course that specialises in the design & production of lingerie & swimwear - from London College of Fashion. I graduated in 2013 and since then I’ve worked in the industry as a designer and studio manager for both high end & high street brands including the luxurious Gilda & Pearl. I even launched my own brand, Serène Intimates in 2016 which was featured in WGSN’s “Brands to Watch” and stocked in high end boutiques everywhere from London to NY. I still make the odd piece and you can shop my handmade luxury lingerie at kayleighmillar.com.

I put things on the back-burner when I had my daughter in 2017 and since then I’ve been making sewing patterns for home-sewers and small businesses, selling them as instantly downloadable PDFs alongside ethically sourced fabrics & bra making supplies.
